Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween and TGIF!!! Is anyone else as excited as I am that Halloween falls on a Friday this year? It's going to be so nice not having to rush around right after trick-or-treating, because it's a school night. AND, it's going to be an absolutely gorgeous fall day here today; probably the nicest Halloween weather we've had in YEARS!!! So of course, I had to post a Halloween card today. I was looking through my RAK basket last night and came across this image. It's called Wicked Witch and it's by Whipper Snapper. I wanted to color her face and hands green, but I just didn't have the right color. I used Prismacolor Markers and Prismacolor Pencils to color in the image and added some StarDust Stickles to her hat, shirt, and shoes. The cardstock is Bazzill Carrot Cake and the patterned paper is from the KI Memories Haunted Collection. The "Boo!" sentiment and bats are from the My Favorite Things set, Fright Night. Thanks for stopping by. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and a "SPOOKTACULAR" Halloween!

The Rubber Cafe - Loving Cup

Good Morning!!! Only one more day until Halloween and another day closer to the weekend; YAY!!! I made today's card with the Loving Cup stamp from The Rubber Cafe. The whole image is stamped in Chocolate Chip ink. I then colored in the hearts with a red Copic marker and the steam coming out of the cup is colored in with my Sakura Stardust Gelly Roll Pen. I also added some white Liquid Applique for foam. Now, I have a question for all of you. Can you tell me what is missing in my card? I didn't notice until just now...LOL!!! I used Whisper White, Chocolate Chip, and Real Red Cardstock. The Real Red is embossed with the Cuttlebug Heart Blocks embossing folder. I used my ticket corner punch for the corners and added some red Doodlebug brads. The striped ribbon is from one of Jody's ribbon share and I printed out the "Whole Latte Love" sentiment on my computer. So, did you notice what was missing in my card? Let me know. Thanks for stopping by and I hope everyone has a great day!!!

M&M's Treat Bags

Good Morning!!! My youngest Daughter goes to story time at the library every Monday morning, so I made 15 of these little treat bags for her to take with her this week. I was inspired by these treat bags of Taylor's. I used Bazzill Carrot Cake cardstock for the bag toppers and Bazzill Sweet Lacy, Bazzill Blackbird, and Bazzill Parakeet for the scallop punches (I made 5 of each color). The pumpkins were stamped in Palette Noir ink and colored in with Prismacolor Pencils. The bats and Trick-or-Treat sentiment were also stamped in Palette Noir ink and I used my round corner punch for the bottom of the bag toppers. The bags are the small glassine bags from PAPERTREYink. That's it; super easy. It only took me about 45 minutes to make all 15 bags and my Daughter loved them. Thanks for stopping by and I hope everyone has a great Tuesday!!!

TECC39 - The Rubber Cafe - Pink Party Hearts

Good Afternoon!!! I hope everyone had a great weekend. Mine was productive, fun, and relaxing. I was able to get a lot of housework and stamping done, my hubby and I had "date night" on Saturday night, and I was even able to fit in a nap yesterday...LOL!!! I made today's card for Taylor's Cupcake Challenge this week. You can view her sketch challenge here. I used the Party Hearts stamp from The Rubber Cafe. The stamp is actually three hearts together (see this post), but for this card I just used the center heart. I colored in the hearts with a Copic marker, added Cotton Candy Stickles to each of them, and popped them up on dimensionals. The cardstock colors are Bazzill Blackbird, Regal Rose, and GP White, which is embossed with the Cuttlebug Spots & Dots folder. The "XOXO" patterned paper was in my stash and I can't remember what company makes it. The black and white gingham ribbon is from Taylored Expressions. I also decorated the inside of the card. The "Happy Valentine's Day" sentiment is another stamp from The Rubber Cafe. Thanks for stopping by. I hope everyone is having a good Monday.

Trick-or-Treat & Stamp a Sweet Impression

Good Morning and TGIF!!! I realized last night that I still needed a few more Halloween cards (nothing like waiting until the last minute, huh?!?). I wanted to make something quick and easy, so I decided to use Michelle Wooderson's tent topper design. I pulled out my favorite Halloween stamp set; Fright Night by My Favorite Things. The three trick-or-treaters is my favorite image out of this set. I colored these little guys (and girl) in with Prismacolor Pencils and blended with Gamsol and stump and added Crystal Stickles to the ghost. The patterned paper is from the Haunted Collection by KI Memories. I added the Trick-or-Treat sentiment at the bottom and a little sheer black ribbon to finish it off.

Do you know what else I did last night? I purchased the new Stamp a Sweet Impression stamps from Taylored Expressions. This month Taylor released her holiday stamps and they are just the "sweetest". There are three new sets; Home Sweet Home, Season's Sweetings, and Tag Treats. Yes, I bought them all...LOL!!! Taylor also released the new Christmas Key Ingredients which has everything you need to make your holiday cards. Yep, I purchased that too...LOL!!! If you haven't already, you can check out all of the details about the Stamp a Sweet Impression Holiday Release on Taylor's Blog. You can also check out all of the new products at Taylored Expressions. Stop back and let me know what you think. I'm pretty sure you'll think the new sets are as "yummy" as I do.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope everyone has a WONDERFUL weekend!!!

The Rubber Cafe - Love Mail

Hello...:) It's a chilly and windy one here today, probably the coldest day yet this fall; only 48 degrees. Brrr!!! But, it's perfect stamping weather if you ask me...LOL!!! Today's card uses another stamp from The Rubber Cafe. It is called Love Mail. The Rubber Cafe website is still undergoing maintenance, but as soon as it is up and running, I will come back and edit this post (and yesterday's) with a link to the stamp. The mailbox, hearts, and bird are all one stamp. I stamped the mailbox and bird with Palette Noir ink and the hearts in Regal Rose. To color in the image I actually used a combination of Copic Markers, Prismacolor Pencils, AND a blender pen with ink. I highlighted the bird with my Sakura Stardust Gelly Roll Pen and I added Crystal Stickles to all the hearts. I also sponged around the image with Certainly Celery ink. I printed the sentiment out on the computer and punched it out with my word window punch. The patterned paper is from the Be Loved Collection by Cloud 9 Designs and the ribbon is by May Arts. Thanks for stopping by and I hope everyone has a great (and warm...LOL) Wednesday.

The Rubber Cafe - Party Hearts

Good Afternoon! Myself and the other design team members for The Rubber Cafe are currently working on cards for Valentine's Day. Today's card uses the Party Hearts stamp and one of their Happy Valentine's Day sentiments. The Rubber Cafe website is currently undergoing some maintenance, so I did not link the stamps, but as soon as the website is up and running again I will come back and edit this post. The hearts and sentiment are stamped in Palette Noir ink. I colored in the hearts with a red Copic marker and added Crystal Stickles; SUPER SPARKLY!!! I stamped the heart image again, colored in the center heart, cut it out, and popped it up on dimensionals. The cardstock is Real Red and the patterned paper is by Doodlebug. I used my ticket corner punch on the patterned paper and added some red rhinestones I had in my stash. That's about it for today's card; super simple. Thanks for stopping by and hope everyone has a great day!!!

TECC38 - Wagon Full Of Blessings

Good Morning! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Saturday we took our girls apple picking; SO FUN!!! Then yesterday, my hubby took our 5 year old to a friend's house to watch football, so I could have some uninterrupted "stamping time". Wasn't that sweet?!? I was able to get a lot of design team work done for The Rubber Cafe and had a chance to do some fun stamping. I made this card for Taylor's Cupcake Challenge this week. You can view her challenge here. In addition to a sketch challenge, Taylor also wanted to see what our stamps were saying or thinking, so I came up with this. The image is called Wagon Full Of Blessings by High Hopes Rubber Stamps. I used my computer to print out the sentiment, "But Dad, Can't You Pull Her?". I can just picture the little boy getting sick of pulling his little sister around the pumpkin patch...LOL!!! I colored the image in with Prismacolor Pencils and blended with Gamsol and a stump. I used some new patterned paper that I picked up from my LSS. It's called Summer Fading and it is part of the Reminisce Enchanted Autumn Collection. The bottom layer of Old Olive cardstock is embossed with the Cuttlebug D'Vine Swirl Embossing Folder and the pumpkin twill ribbon is from Taylored Expressions. Thanks for stopping by. I hope you all have a wonderful Monday!

Spring Bird & Rose Border Thank You Cards

Good Morning and TGIF!!! I'm so excited the weekend is almost here. I live for the weekends, but who doesn't right...LOL?!? We are taking our girls apple picking tomorrow and will also be picking out our pumpkins to carve. I can't wait to watch our girls pick their own apples for the first time, drink a cup of hot apple cider as we walk through the orchard, and of course take tons of pictures. I was in need of a couple QUICK thank you cards, so I sat down last night and made these. Both cards are made with Bazzill Peach Glow cardstock, Bazzill Patina cardstock, and patterned paper from the Crate Blue Hill Collection. I colored in the images with Copic markers (I own a total of 9 Copic markers...LOL). For the first card I used the Spring Bird stamp from Whipper Snapper. It's hard to see in the photo (you can click on the photo for a larger view), but I added some Crystal Stickles to the flower and the bird's feathers; very sparkly. The "thanks" sentiment is from the Posie Doodle set by Stampendous. To finish the card off, I added some satin ribbon that I picked up from Michael's. For the second card I used Rose Border set by Rubber Soul. This set is probably the prettiest and most versatile set that I own. The set comes with 8 different sentiments that fit inside the main image and who doesn't love roses?!? The link to this set on the Rubber Soul website does not show a picture, so I have posted a picture of the set for you here. To finish this card off, I added a couple of prima flowers and a little silver "bling". Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope everyone has a WONDERFUL weekend!!!

WCMDFS08 - SherryLC05

Happy Thursday!!! Sorry for my absence this week. It's been a little nutty on the home front...LOL!!! I made this card on World Card Making Day for the Featured Stamper Challenge on SCS. I would say I'm a little behind on posting it, wouldn't you...LOL?!? The Featured Stamper was SherryLC05 and you can see which one of her cards inspired me here. I used my favorite "pink" color combo; Pretty in Pink and Purely Pomegranate and the designer paper is SU! Berry Bliss. I used my round corner punch to create the scallops and added some White Opal Liquid Pearls to each scallop (as well as the scallop circle). The image, which is from the SU! set So Many Scallops, is stamped in Purely Pomegranate and popped up with dimensionals. The ribbon is light pink and pomegranate grosgrain ribbon and I purchased it from Taylored Expressions. Thanks for stopping by and I hope everyone has a great day!

eclectic Friend

Good Morning and TGIF!!! I have the honor of being this week's "eclectic Friend" for Eclectic Paperie...YIPPEE!!! I had the pleasure of meeting and spending the day with Daisy and Joy (the owners of eP) at CHA Chicago in 2007. WHAT A BLAST!!! Daisy and Joy are two of the sweetest and most generous people you will ever meet. Their store is STOCKED with all the latest paper crafting goodies. They have all the supplies you need (and want) and have super quick shipping. You can check out all of their "Brand Spankin' New" products here. You can also sign up for their newsletter (if you haven't done so already) on the front page of their site down on the left hand side. With Halloween right around the corner, I thought I would post something "halloweeny" today using products you can find at Eclectic Paperie. The card uses the products from the Imaginisce Hallowhimsy Collection. I stamped the haunted house on Whisper White using Palette Noir ink. I colored it in with Prismacolor Pencils and blended with Gamsol and a stump. I sponged around the image with Pumpkin Pie ink and added some StarDust Stickles to the windows. The cardstock colors are Bazzill Blackbird, Bazzill Sweet Lacy, and Bazzill Carrot Cake which is embossed with the Cuttlebug Distressed Stripes Embossing Folder. I used the Lollipop Lizzy and Pixie Sticks patterned paper and added some black and white gingham ribbon to finish it off. I also decorated the inside of the card with the Imaginisce Happy Halloween sentiment and a piece of patterned paper. To go along with the card, I made a cute little 2-5-7-10 treat box using this tutorial from SCS; super easy!!!

Thank you so much Daisy and Joy for making me this week's eclectic Friend; what an honor!!!

And, thank you all for stopping by today. I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

WCMDSC08 - Full Fluffles

Good Morning! I hope all of you had a chance to do a little stamping on Saturday for World Card Making Day. I decided to participate in some of the challenges over at SCS. I made this card for their first challenge (a sketch challenge) which you can view here. But before I go on, I just have to tell you that this card (and others that I have posted recently) really do look better IRL. I am having issues with my digital camera. The main issue being that I would like to take it out in the middle of a field and smash it with a baseball bat like they did with the fax machine in the movie Office Space....LOL!!! Any who, I used the Full Fluffles stamp by Stampendous for this card and colored it in with Primacolor Pencils. I added some white Liquid Applique to the cake and some StarDust Stickles to the balloon and cake plate. The cardstock colors are Real Red and Lovely Lilac and the patterned paper is from the Rubber Soul Hoop-La Collection. Thanks for stopping by today. Hope everyone has a great Monday... :)
