Onesie Cards

I was in need of some baby cards, so I decided to finally try making a "onesie" card. I was surprised at how easy they are to make. Not to mention how FUN!!! Thank you to Lauren Meader for her AWESOME tutorial on how to make these adorable cards. You can check it out HERE. For the first card I used Pretty in Pink and Purely Pomegranate cardstock. The image is from the SU! set So Many Scallops. I stamped it in Purely Pomegranate and then punched it out with my scallop circle punch. I stamped the image again on Pretty in Pink cardstock. I then cut out the SWEET ONE part and adhered it over the image. The entire image is set up on dimensionals. To finish it off, I added some adhesive jewels for the "snaps". For the second card I used Gable Green and Green Galore cardstock and adhesive pearls for the "snaps". The pink card is for my girlfriend who just had her third (and final) girl on Monday. The green card is for my Cousin's baby shower. They do not know the sex of the baby, so I thought green would be a good color choice. Then, another girlfriend of mine is due with a boy in June, so I'm going to make another one of these, but in blue. Thanks for stopping by. Hope everyone has a great day!

TECC15 - Sweet on You!

Good Morning! I made this card for another one of Taylor's Cupcake Challenges. The challenge was to use this sketch and incorporate matching patterned paper into the card. As I was thumbing through all of my patterned paper, I came across this paper. It is from the Fanciful Collection by Junkitz and it was perfect for this challenge. The image is called Three Chocolate Truffles and it's by Whipper Snapper. It was actually sent to me by Taylor herself; so again, I thought it would be perfect to use it for this challenge. I colored the truffles with Prismacolor Pencils and blended with Gamsol and a stump and the sentiment is from the My Favorite Things set Be Mine. I used my corner rounder punch to create the scallops and added some adhesive jewels. The ribbon is May Arts.

ENABLER ALERT
Today is the release of Taylor's first "Taylored Kit" over at Taylored Expressions and it's absolutely adorable. You can check out the kit here. I purchased mine first this morning and can't wait to put it together.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope everyone has a great day!

Blogger RAK from Nancy

I was so excited when I received this Blogger RAK in the mail the other day. It's the first one I've received since I started blogging again. This SUPER CUTE card was sent to me by Nancy over at Nancy's Creative Mess. I love how she stamped AND embossed the cardstock on this card. I honestly don't think I would have thought to do that...LOL!!! If you haven't checked out Nancy's blog yet, it's a must see. She has a lot of variety and is very talented. Thank you for thinking of me Nancy. Your thoughtfulness is very much appreciated.

TECC16 - Cupcake w/ Sprinkles

I finally had a chance to sit down this weekend and stamp; WOO, HOO!!! I always love Taylor's Cupcake Challenges, so I made this card for her sketch challenge this week. The cupcake image is by Whipper Snapper. I colored it in with Prismacolor Pencils and blended with Gamsol and a stump. I couldn't decide what color I wanted to make the frosting, so I just went with sprinkles...LOL!!! I used my Sakura Stardust Gelly Roll pen to add some sparkle to the sprinkles and also added StarDust Stickles to the cherry. The cardstock colors are Pumpkin Pie and Tempting Turquoise and the patterned paper is My Minds Eye. I distressed both Tempting Turquoise layers and added some turquoise grosgrain ribbon. I love how Taylor stamped her sentiment along the two sides of the card, so I decided to try it myself. The sentiment is from the MFT set, Icing on the Cake. I'm really happy with the outcome and I think I will be using this sketch a lot more. Thanks for the great challenge Taylor. I'll be back later tonight with a super cute Blogger RAK I received this weekend. Hope everyone has a great day!

Vacation Pictures

T.G.I.F. Everyone!!! So, you're probably wondering if I even stamp anymore. I do, but haven't made anything new in weeks. My hubby and I were on vacation last week and we spent most of this week "catching up" on everything. I have some "me time" set aside tomorrow and I'm really looking forward to creating again. So, since I don't have anything new to post, I thought I would share some pictures from our vacation. We took almost 200 pictures. Of course, I'm just going to show you a handful of random ones. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

This & That

Well, I still haven't created anything new to post. I haven't stamped in over a week *sad face*. I've been so busy and I'm lucky if I get to sit down and relax before 9:00pm. And, at that point, I'm ready for bed. One of the reasons that I've been so busy is because my hubby and I are leaving for vacation tomorrow morning. We are taking a Royal Caribbean Cruise to the Bahamas (NO KIDS....WOO, HOO!). My Mom is flying in from Arizona tonight to watch our girls while we are gone (isn't she sweet?). I didn't realize how much you have to do to prepare for being gone for a week, especially when it comes to someone else watching your children. I'm SUPER excited and will share some pictures when I get back. Oh, and you can bet I'll be stamping on Mother's Day...LOL!!!

Last Thursday my oldest Daughter, Alicia, spent the day with my at work for Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day. I had such a wonderful day with her and she had fun too. Here are some pictures I took of her. Check out that GIGANTIC slice of pizza she had for lunch.
