Today's card is another card I made for one of
Taylor's Cupcake Challenges. The challenge was to make a card using the colors Real Red, Tempting Turquoise, Pixie Pink, and Chocolate Chip. You can view Taylor's challenge
here. The cupcake is by
Whipper Snapper and is colored in with Prismacolor Pencils and blended with Gamsol and a stump. I added a little sparkle to the cupcake with my Sakura Stardust Gelly Roll Pen and added some Crystal Stickles to the cherry. I embossed the Real Red layer with my Cuttlebug
Spots and Dots folder. I used my round corner punch to create the scallops on the Tempting Turquoise layer and added a
Stampendous Dot Sparkler to each of them. The sentiment is from the MFT set,
Icing on the Cake. Now for my favorite part; the ribbon. This was my first attempt at one of
Pam Bassett's Ribbon Blossoms. You can view her tutorial
here. I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out, but definitely need more practice. If you get a chance, check out all of Pam's beautiful creations using her Ribbon Blossoms; they are AMAZING!!!
