Good Afternoon! I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. So, did anyone brave the crowds on Black Friday? I told myself I wasn't going to do ANY shopping on Friday, but I ended up hitting a couple of stores with a girlfriend of mine. I picked up a couple of Christmas gifts for my oldest Daughter, but I'm not anywhere close to being done shopping; YIKES!!! Any who, onto my card, which I made using last week's Sketch Challenge from SCS. A sweet friend of mine sent me this Whipper Snapper Snowfall image this time last year and I'm now just getting around to using it (how sad is that...LOL)?!? The image is colored in with Prismacolor Markers and Copic Markers. I added Crystal Stickles to all the areas I colored pink and white Liquid Applique to the tip of the hat. I used Whisper White and Garden Green cardstock along with patterned paper from the KI Memories Joyful Collection. The image is popped up on dimensionals and the red grosgrain ribbon is from Taylored Expressions. Thanks for stopping by and I hope everyone is having a good week so far.
Happy Halloween and TGIF!!! Is anyone else as excited as I am that Halloween falls on a Friday this year? It's going to be so nice not having to rush around right after trick-or-treating, because it's a school night. AND, it's going to be an absolutely gorgeous fall day here today; probably the nicest Halloween weather we've had in YEARS!!! So of course, I had to post a Halloween card today. I was looking through my RAK basket last night and came across this image. It's called Wicked Witch and it's by Whipper Snapper. I wanted to color her face and hands green, but I just didn't have the right color. I used Prismacolor Markers and Prismacolor Pencils to color in the image and added some StarDust Stickles to her hat, shirt, and shoes. The cardstock is Bazzill Carrot Cake and the patterned paper is from the KI Memories Haunted Collection. The "Boo!" sentiment and bats are from the My Favorite Things set, Fright Night. Good Morning and TGIF!!! I'm so excited the weekend is almost here. I live for the weekends, but who doesn't right...LOL?!? We are taking our girls apple picking tomorrow and will also be picking out our pumpkins to carve. I can't wait to watch our girls pick their own apples for the first time, drink a cup of hot apple cider as we walk through the orchard, and of course take tons of pictures. I was in need of a couple QUICK thank you cards, so I sat down last night and made these. Both cards are made with Bazzill Peach Glow cardstock, Bazzill Patina cardstock, and patterned paper from the Crate Blue Hill Collection. I colored in the images with Copic markers (I own a total of 9 Copic markers...LOL). For the first card I used the Spring Bird stamp from Whipper Snapper. It's hard to see in the photo (you can click on the photo for a larger view), but I added some Crystal Stickles to the flower 
and the bird's feathers; very sparkly. The "thanks" sentiment is from the Posie Doodle set by Stampendous. To finish the card off, I added some satin ribbon that I picked up from Michael's. For the second card I used Rose Border set by Rubber Soul. This 
set is probably the prettiest and most versatile set that I own. The set comes with 8 different sentiments that fit inside the main image and who doesn't love roses?!? The link to this set on the Rubber Soul website does not show a picture, so I have posted a picture of the set for you here. Good Morning! I made this card for another one of Taylor's Cupcake Challenges. The challenge was to use this sketch and incorporate matching patterned paper into the card. As I was thumbing through all of my patterned paper, I came across this paper. It is from the Fanciful Collection by Junkitz and it was perfect for this challenge. The image is called Three Chocolate Truffles and it's by Whipper Snapper. It was actually sent to me by Taylor herself; so again, I thought it would be perfect to use it for this challenge. I colored the truffles with Prismacolor Pencils and blended with Gamsol and a stump and the sentiment is from the My Favorite Things set Be Mine. I used my corner rounder punch to create the scallops and added some adhesive jewels. The ribbon is May Arts.
I finally had a chance to sit down this weekend and stamp; WOO, HOO!!! I always love Taylor's Cupcake Challenges, so I made this card for her sketch challenge this week. The cupcake image is by Whipper Snapper. I colored it in with Prismacolor Pencils and blended with Gamsol and a stump. I couldn't decide what color I wanted to make the frosting, so I just went with sprinkles...LOL!!! I used my Sakura Stardust Gelly Roll pen to add some sparkle to the sprinkles and also added StarDust Stickles to the cherry. The cardstock colors are Pumpkin Pie and Tempting Turquoise and the patterned paper is My Minds Eye. I distressed both Tempting Turquoise layers and added some turquoise grosgrain ribbon. I love how Taylor stamped her sentiment along the two sides of the card, so I decided to try it myself. The sentiment is from the MFT set, Icing on the Cake. I'm really happy with the outcome and I think I will be using this sketch a lot more. Thanks for the great challenge Taylor. Happy (Good) Friday Everyone!!! Today I have a cute little Easter card to share with you. I used this sketch of Amy's for the layout. The Bunny Trio image is by Whipper Snapper and was sent to me by a dear friend of mine. Aren't these bunnies adorable?!? I colored them in with Prismacolor Pencils and blended with Gamsol and a stump. I added Stardust Stickles to the eggs in the basket and Liquid Applique to the tail of the bunny on the far right. The cardstock colors are Bashful Blue, So Saffron, and Pretty in Pink. I embossed the So Saffron cardstock with my Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder. The glitter patterned paper is from the Imaginesce For Peep's Sake Collection and the "Happy Easter" sentiment is from the My Favorite Things set Eggstra Special Easter. Today's card is another card I made for one of Taylor's Cupcake Challenges. The challenge was to make a card using the colors Real Red, Tempting Turquoise, Pixie Pink, and Chocolate Chip. You can view Taylor's challenge here. The cupcake is by Whipper Snapper and is colored in with Prismacolor Pencils and blended with Gamsol and a stump. I added a little sparkle to the cupcake with my Sakura Stardust Gelly Roll Pen and added some Crystal Stickles to the cherry. I embossed the Real Red layer with my Cuttlebug Spots and Dots folder. I used my round corner punch to create the scallops on the Tempting Turquoise layer and added a Stampendous Dot Sparkler to each of them. The sentiment is from the MFT set, Icing on the Cake. Now for my favorite part; the ribbon. This was my first attempt at one of Pam Bassett's Ribbon Blossoms. You can view her tutorial here. I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out, but definitely need more practice. If you get a chance, check out all of Pam's beautiful creations using her Ribbon Blossoms; they are AMAZING!!!

The cupcake, background stamp, and "Just for You" sentiment are all from the My Favorite Things set, Icing on the Cake. I colored in both the images with Prismacolor Pencils and blended with Gamsol and a stump. I added some Stickles to the cupcake and a Stampendous Dot Sparkler to the middle of the flower in the main image (it's hard to see in the photo, but you can click on it for a larger view). The patterned paper is from the Junkitz Salsa Celebration Collection and I believe it's discontinued due to the company going out of business this past December *insert sad face*. The cardstock is from Michael's and the ribbon is from one of Taylor's ribbon sales. Speaking of Taylor; have you seen her new website, Taylored Expressions? If not, check it out!
